Data Use, Technology, and Educational Leadership

My Keynote on #EdData with the Rennie Center

The Rennie Center invited me to provide the keynote for their April 2 event, Choices about Student Data: Systems, Policies, and the Future of Data-driven Decision-making. My talk was followed by some panel discussions and roundtables. It was a lot of fun to have policymakers, educators, and community organizations all in the same room — all talking about the challenges and future of data use.

The YouTube video of my talk has just been posted. I begin at around minute 5. I understand that they don’t usually record these talks, and that I might have been the first one (aka trial run). The lighting isn’t great, but here is a PDF of the slides so that you can follow along.
